5 Reed Avocados - A large avocado with bold flavor
What a great experience buying from CaliforniaAvocadosDirect! The Reed Avocado was one of the most delicious avocados I have ever tasted. It was shipped in a timely manner and the 5 Reeds were excellent fruits! I did a full review on my YouTube channel, The RGV Gardener. See my taste test!
They take a while to ripen but oh so worth the wait. They are truly a melt in your mouth flavor.

Reeds were very good but I think I ordered them too early. Another 30 to 45 days on the tree would have resulted in more complex flavor profile.
The avacados are too large and not ripe for consumption. Maybe you could have 8-9 reeds in a box so a family can have a larger period of consumption vs just 5 days with a large avacado that is cut and carries over to the next day ( can’t finish all of it )
Hi Prasad, thank you for your feedback. REED avocados are large and round, that's how they grow. We can't ship Ripe avocados, because they arrive as mush. Always shipping fresh, hard avocados that have to ripen in your kitchen.
Hass are smaller, Carmen Hass are smaller, Mexicola are smallest. Perhaps try those varieties next time for smaller fruit size.

I love Reed avocados, they’re creamy and delicious, and hold up better than other types. I cut up a couple, put them on a plate and cover in Saran Wrap, no browning at all, even over two days. They don’t go overripe as soon either, and they peel very easily.
All of my orders arrive in perfect condition and at the specified weight. This is an honest, reliable company and I’ve been ordering from them for about three years.
