I was dissatisfied that I didn’t get sent Fuerte avocados and that I didn’t get notified I would get sent Gem avocados instead.

Ordered 12 large Fuerte Avocados and a box of California oranges for our neighbors who moved from L.A. to Michigan in October. They were ecstatic with the gift, planning when their next guacamole for a special meal and enjoying the "real" oranges. I also had mixed up the shipping address (sent it to myself first!) but Farmer Ben came to the rescue, and changed the address for me before shipping it out. We love Fuerte Avocados! They are so smooth and buttery! When they are ripe they last much longer in the refrigerator than Haas. They don’t easily brown like Hass. Re: our last order we were panicked because we live in MN and around Christmas had a big snowstorm and then subzero temps with windchills in the -30-40’s! They were delayed 2 days for delivery because of this and I was so worried they would arrive and sit on our front steps and freeze. Fortunately we were home on Christmas Eve afternoon when they were delivered just as we were getting ready to leave for our son’s house! God is good!

These avocados are so very delicious. They are never bruised. The flesh is perfect! They are fantastic! They don’t all ripen at once which is great. I order them all the time for my mom who lives in Illinois. She grew up in Nicaragua with avocado trees in her back yard. She LOVES these avocados too. She always planes to freeze some for later but she eats them and never has any to freeze.

You will never go wrong with these avocados!!!
