- 1 1/4 cup whole-wheat pastry flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 ripe, fresh medium avocado, halved, pitted, peeled and mashed
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup dates, pureed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
